Chamber Automation
Interfacing
and accessing available data, we can provide legislative bodies a Chamber
Automation package with a simple interface intended for non-computer-oriented
users. Through the simple process of
clicking available buttons the system will permit legislators to quickly obtain
legislative documents.
The
software can be operated by a touch screen, mouse or pen rather than requiring
keyboard input, and requires little or no user training. The Chamber Automation
system is structured to interface with all necessary legislative documents. As
each session’s Calendar is prepared, the information will become available to
the Chamber Automation system through a series of systematic links or database
access calls.
Examples
of the information which can be made available through the Chamber Automation
system include:
- Daily Calendars or agendas.
- City, County and State
Statutes.
- Pending Legislation and
Pending Amendments.
- Schedules and locations of
committee hearings, with lists of the Bill/Resolutions to be considered by each
committee.
- Bill/Resolution status
information.
- Information on
Bill/Resolution sponsors and committee assignments.
- Roll-Call voting information
(how each member has voted, as well as the vote tally and pass/fail
information.)
- Actual text of each
Bill/Resolution, as well as amendments, fiscal and local impact statements,
analysis and synopsis.
